An Invitation to Look, Walk, and Sit

In-vi-ta-tion
Noun
a written or verbal request inviting someone to go somewhere or to do something
    • the action of inviting someone to go somewhere or to do something
    • a situation or action that tempts someone to do something or makes a particular outcome likely

An invitation makes us feel something. Included, important, special, valued, loved. An invitation lets you know someone is thinking of you, wanting you to be part of something. I invited you to come along with me, to step into something new, to take a look around. Do you think those were mere words, just letters on a page? Step one…think again!

I am thinking of you, yes, you reading these words, right here, right now. Ever time I sit to write, when the words flit around in my mind, as the story unfolds, you are there. I invite you, ask you to step into my world…

Take a look…

Walk around…

Sit a spell…

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29
