Worn Out

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Psalm 51:12 –

Worn out. Traces of what I once was. Fragments, stitching, the very core visible. Well used, still able to do what I was created to do. I may not be a sleek, or beautiful, but I can roll with it. I bring joy to those who have nothing. I am a prized, valued, cherished. I am battle worn. I’ve been kicked and thrown only to bounce back. I’ve been held tightly and sought after, chased down and tossed aside. I’ve seen tears and laughter, determination and frustration, victory as well as defeat. And yet I roll. I am worn, I am seen, I am His.
